Celebration of Life

These past few months have been really hard. My mother-in-law passed away in February. She had Covid and got very sick, went to the hospital and never got to come home. While in the hospital she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma which is blood cancer The cancer and Covid were just fighting each other. She was in the hospital for 15 days by herself due to Covid restrictions. Her body was tired, and she passed away on February 8th.

I got the pleasure of planning her celebration of life and to be able to honor her and set up something so beautiful I know she would’ve enjoyed it. From a personal point of view I felt such grief, sadness and wondered how things would ever be the same and from a business point of view I saw how helpful an event planner could be for such a sad time in someone’s life and take the stress off the family when planning such an event You’re planning a party for someone that means so much to you and in the back of your mind you think that they’re going to walk in the door and celebrate with you. During these times you have to remember to give yourself grace with the venue, vendors, caterers and rentals. Know that things are not always going to go as planned. With this event I had the caterer cancel two weeks before the event and had to look for another caterer and it was all still perfect.  It was a blessing in disguises.

My mother-in-law had so much life to live. She loved her family so much, lived for her grandkids, loved to vacation, was a great cook and she really liked to shop!

Our lives will be forever changed.
